Eric grew up in Chicago as a socially reserved middle child. In the wake of the sudden death of his older brother in early 2000, Eric found courage in the face of grief. This courage propelled his pivot from a young career in marketing into the world of restaurant leadership. Over the next 20 years, Eric developed confidence through pursuing the art of “being there for others.”

In early 2022, following his mother’s stage-four cancer diagnosis, Eric resigned from hospitality leadership to focus on being there for his family … and for himself. Eric grew to realize that the most important and complex relationship in his life was with himself. This journey of awakening has been fueled by meditation, talk therapy, and journaling, while being inspired by gurus including Alan Watts and Sam Harris.

Eric discovered MenLiving in early 2024 and became a facilitator in mid-2026. He relishes connecting with men beyond surface-level small talk. Vulnerability is a strength. Holding space for others is a privilege and helps to further his understanding of self.
