In MenLiving’s own words

These spaces are opportunities for men to dive deeper into a topic focused on personal growth. Facilitators choose topics that aim to tap into something you’re navigating, wrestling with, or trying to understand in your own life. This is not about advice giving or fixing. It’s just an honest conversation with other men who get it, designed to expand how you see yourself and what’s possible for you.

Who this circle is for

Men who have sat in a drop-in and want more room than an hour of check-ins allows. It is not a prerequisite — you can start here — but it rewards a man who already knows he wants to think about something out loud.

What a gathering is like

The facilitator brings one question and the group stays inside it. That is the whole difference: instead of five men each saying their piece about five things, five men stay with one thing long enough for it to get somewhere.

What you don’t have to do

  • You don’t have to talk. Listening is participation, and plenty of men listen the first few times.
  • You don’t have to fix anyone. Nobody will try to fix you either — that is the agreement, said out loud at the start.
  • You don’t have to have a story ready. Men speak from their own experience, and “I don’t know yet” is an experience.
  • You don’t have to keep coming. Men come once, or for a season, or for years. Coming three times and moving on is the model working.
  • You don’t have to explain why you came. Nobody will ask, and nobody will follow up afterwards.

Same agreements everywhere. What changes is the room.

Ready when you are

Most are free, most weeks of the year. You can listen the whole time and nobody will ask you why.

Keep the door open for the men who need it

Connection should stay within reach.

Most circles are free because donors pay for them. Your gift funds facilitator training and keeps the open door open for the men who need it most.
