Caregivers Collective

November 13 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm CST
Free
Elders Care Collective(ECC) for caregivers to share stories, resources, and connect while navigating aging parents. All genders welcome.

Caregivers Collective

Join us for a supportive and educational Zoom gathering designed for anyone currently navigating the challenges of caring for elderly parents. Whether you are deep in the day-to-day responsibilities or just beginning to plan ahead, this space offers both insight and connection.

The first half of our session will feature three experts who bring professional and deeply personal perspectives to the conversation:

· Dr. Mike Ross – A former emergency room doctor, now in palliative care, who will share insights on medical realities and the importance of compassionate, proactive planning.

· Marti Hitzmann – A certified death doula and End-of-Life Educator, offering statistics, resources, and reflections on the gaps in community and systemic support, as well as how families can prepare for a “good death.”

· Christine McFadden – A daughter who spent years navigating her father’s journey with heart disease and her mother’s dementia, sharing lived wisdom from inside the caregiving experience.

After hearing from our panelists, the second half of the gathering will be an open conversation for participants to share their own stories, ask questions, and receive support. Together we’ll hold space for the grief, exhaustion, love, and resilience that come with caring for aging parents.

Come as you are, listen deeply, and be part of a growing community where caregivers can connect, heal, and thrive.
