My name is Tony Molina, a longtime member of MenLiving residing in San Diego, California. Several years ago, founding members Todd Adams and Frank Naugo reached out to me and another man with an invitation: would we be willing to help “facilitate” virtual meetings to expand the organization’s online presence?
At the time, Todd and Frank were carrying the load themselves, and MenLiving hosted just one virtual meeting a month. Most gatherings were in person in the Chicago area, anchored by the annual retreat – which meant that for those of us living outside Chicago, opportunities to connect with other members were few and far between.
The two of us got past our nerves, stepped up, and began facilitating virtual meetings. Fast-forward to today, and look at MenLiving now: multiple meetings every week, virtual and in-person, and a community that’s grown well beyond Chicago.
But what about San Diego?
It’s been a long time coming, right? After years of facilitating virtual gatherings – and now with several members living in this area – why hasn’t there been an in-person connection here yet?
Well… I’ve got an answer. And it’s one I’ve unfortunately used in other parts of my life:
My bad.
So let’s fix that — starting now.
If you’re in or near San Diego on February 7th, join us for the first in-person MenLiving Connection Meeting as we officially launch the MenLiving San Diego Chapter!
I can’t wait to connect with you.
